Is Scholarship Available in Pima Community College

Yes, Pima Community College offers a wide variety of scholarships in order to facilitate young students achieve their dreams.

Here are the categories of scholarships offered by the college :

  • Pima Merit Scholarship : this scholarship is awarded to those who have graduated with a GPA of 3.5 or more. Or alternatively, a GED average test score of 165 or higher. In order to be applicable for the scholarship, students must have a proven record of displaying  leadership skills or actively volunteering in community service.
  • Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship : this is applicable for new and returning Pima Community College students. The pre-requisite for that is that the student must be a Pima County resident, and should have had an excellent track record both academically and civically. The eligibility criteria which students must meet in order to be applicable for this scholarship is that they must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the last school they

have attended. They must also submit all their documents related to the community service.volunteering work that they have done.

  • PCC Summer Jump Start Scholarship : this scholarship is awarded to those who have recently completed their GED between 1st July 2019 and 30th June, 2019. To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must have scored an average test score of 145 or higher in GED. Although it is not necessary for the students to be a resident of Pima County, but the Pima County residents are given more preference.
  • PCC Summer Slingshot Scholarship : this scholarship is offered to those who have enrolled to the college in degree courses. The necessary eligibility which an applicant needs to fulfill is that the students must have taken classes in Spring 2018 (i.e., from 1st January, 2018 to 18th May, 2018) and must have secured a minimum GPA of 3.0 GPA.
  • PCC Summer Line Scholarship : this scholarship is for the students who have reached their final semester of their degree or certificate program. Applicants should have applied for the Summer 2018 semester.
  • PCC Foundation Scholarships : these scholarships are funded by PCC alumni and generous sponsors across Arizona.
  • Outside Donor Scholarships : these can any scholarships which are solely funded by outside parties and not by PCC or the PCC Foundation.
